I have to FORCE myself to step outside my comfort zone. I think it is because I feel self-conscience. So while I'm in front of children that is gone, but as soon as I'm in front of adults or my peers it comes right back. I try to encourage my shy students to take risks, but I know they have to trust that I'll be there right beside them when they do it the first time. Before I know it their doing it without me. Maybe it's like riding a bike???? Anyways it is easy for me to relate to people who have a difficulty with public speaking of any kind. It takes practice:)Jonihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04784307727124793823noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3185215054621700923.post-56972528363738297872010-05-26T09:48:57.196-07:002010-05-26T09:48:57.196-07:00Sounds like the differentiated forms of response i...Sounds like the differentiated forms of response is indeed a form of customization for students.

An interesting question is "What would it take to help the 'texting' student migrate to the audio file or Video file student?"

What do you think?

ZDr. Zhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01420546861775303616noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3185215054621700923.post-38436576219289921492010-05-24T20:18:42.059-07:002010-05-24T20:18:42.059-07:00Joni, I also prefer text responses to audio. I am also always surprised at how my voice sounds...much different than what I think I sound like. :-)MartyLMhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14988334619793565746noreply@blogger.com
